ID@Xbox April 2026 Showcase Full Recap — Every Game Announced and Every Game Pass Confirmation

The ID@Xbox and IGN April 2026 Showcase aired yesterday afternoon — sandwiched between the Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced reveal in the pre-show and the "We Are Xbox" memo dropping hours later, making it one of the busiest Xbox days in memory. If you missed the roughly 50-minute showcase, here is everything announced, every Game Pass confirmation, and a quick verdict on what's actually worth your attention.

Day One Game Pass Announcements

Ten games were confirmed for Game Pass day one during the showcase that had not previously been announced for the service. These are the headline additions:

Tears of Metal — Co-op roguelike hack-and-slash with a distinctive art style. You command a Scottish battalion through medieval combat with roguelite progression. Confirmed for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, Cloud Gaming, and Game Pass. Release window TBA.

Launching Fall 2026 on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, Cloud, and day one with Game Pass. Xbox Play Anywhere confirmed.

Golf With Your Friends 2 — The chaotic mini-golf party game sequel. Wildly unpredictable courses, moving hazards, physics-based nonsense, and maximum friend destruction. Published by Team17, developed by Radical Forge. Fall 2026 for Xbox Series X|S.

Escape Academy 2: Back 2 School — The open-world campus escape room sequel. Fully playable solo or in online and split-screen couch co-op. 2026 for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Xbox on PC, and day one with Game Pass. Xbox Play Anywhere.

Beastro — Cozy life sim meets deckbuilder cooking RPG. You're the chef powering heroes through puppet-style combat encounters. Every ingredient upgrades your deck and unlocks new abilities. Charming and mechanically distinct.

Inkonbini: One Store. Many Stories — A cozy narrative life sim set in a small-town Japanese convenience store. You're Makoto working night shifts, with everyday tasks and customer interactions unfolding into heartfelt stories based on your choices. Additional Reveals

Mistfall Hunter — The competitive PvPvE extraction action RPG with dark fantasy environments and high-stakes loot mechanics got its Xbox and PC announcement. Dark fantasy, extraction shooter structure, significant community interest building.

There Are No Ghosts at the Grand — Supernatural ghost story meets hotel restoration project in a musical adventure format. One of the more tonally distinctive reveals of the showcase.

Aphelion — Don't Nod's sci-fi survival adventure got its final trailer push ahead of its April 28 Game Pass day-one launch. Crash-land on a frozen alien planet, survive, find your crewmate. Confirmed for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, Cloud, Handheld Optimized.

Solo Leveling Arise Overdrive — The online co-op action title based on the hit anime and manhwa got a new update trailer with fresh content details for the console version.

Albion Online — The free-to-play PvP MMO launched on Xbox this week with a new live-action trailer. Free on console, with Xbox Game Pass bonuses for subscribers including the exclusive Green Knight vanity set.

Echo Generation 2 — The charming co-op adventure sequel to the 2022 indie hit. Xbox Play Anywhere confirmed at launch.

Screenbound — A puzzle-platformer that plays across two screens simultaneously. Xbox Play Anywhere confirmed.

The Bigger Context

This showcase sat between two significantly bigger Xbox events — the Xbox Games Showcase in June and the upcoming Gears of War: E-Day Direct. As an ID@Xbox presentation it was deliberately indie-focused, but the day-one Game Pass confirmation for ten previously unannounced titles is genuinely significant. It demonstrates that despite the structural changes to what Game Pass includes (Call of Duty no longer day one, new tiers being tested), Microsoft's commitment to indie day-one launches remains intact and expanding.

The full showcase is available on-demand on IGN's YouTube channel.
